Meet Dr. Campbell

Dr. Campbell is a board certified addiction psychiatrist providing Telehealth services for adults in California, Connecticut, Texas, Florida, and Alaska. He is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders as well as addictions. He has undergone in-depth training in the use of evidence-based treatment modalities to help you live the life you’ve always wanted.

He received his medical education at the University of Washington where high quality bedside clinical skills and in depth clinical reasoning built a strong foundation. He continued his education in NYC at Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine for psychiatry residency. Here he received rigorous training in making clinical formulations and delivering psychotherapy to build the treatment acumen for using the intervention best suited for your specific challenge. He continued his education with a fellowship to gain valuable experience working with addictions. This helped build confidence in the process of recovery and expertise in the essential tools people need to be successful. It helped build out a practical sense of behavior change and the power science can have in people changing their lives for the better.

After completing training, Dr. Campbell worked as a traveling doctor during the pandemic to fill shortages around the country. This helped him learn from a breadth of clinical settings by working in emergency rooms, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, medical consult services, intensive outpatient clinics, and a partial hospitalization program. Working in these settings, he witnessed the challenges facing patients in the current state of psychiatric care. It motivated him to be a psychiatrist that can deliver the highest fidelity care people are seeking. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Campbell started his private practice, AcroPsych, to deliver treatment without the constraints that can impede clinical care, making his patient’s outcomes paramount.

Dr. Campbell is driven to continue his development as a psychiatrist through continual engagement with scientific literature, active participation in professional communities, and ongoing therapy training.
